- Coordinate Better Work Jordan’s intervention to promote efforts towards improving workers’ voice in the garment sector in Jordan, including through targeting worker representatives and the ‘worker’s management committee’ in factories, delivering training and Training of Trainers (ToT) to worker representatives and Union staff members, as well as enhancing social dialogue between workers and management at the factory level.
- Maintain close cooperation and coordination with the General Trade Union of Workers In Textile Garment & Clothing Industries, the General Federation of Jordanian Trade Unions, international institutions such as IndustriALL, ITUC, as well as relevant stakeholders in the planning and implementation of activities under this intervention. ensure the effective implementation of the 2021-2026 Union Strategic Plan.
- Promote and mainstream gender equality throughout the project implementation.
- Coordinate the project timely implementation, monitoring and evaluation, including provision of technical and administrative supervision to the project team and consultants in line with the ILO policy, rules and regulations and according to the final project document and workplan.
- Identify problems, propose solutions and action and follow-up with BWJ team, relevant departments at headquarters and regional office, government offices, constituents and other organizations to identify synergies, expedite implementation and meet targets.
