Job Description

- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for component 2 activities;
- Coordinate with the Director of Inclusive Economic Growth and Climate Change Resilience to assure component 2 activities align with Mercy Corps Jordan economic development strategy;
- Work closely with consortium partners to successfully implement all operations related to component 2;
- Lead the development and implementation of workplans focused on key outputs and outcomes;
- Ensure all programming follows Mercy Corps’ internal systems and procedures;
- Implement best practices of adaptive management and market system development approach;
- Ensure implementation of component 2 activities is on time, targets, and budget, using effective M&E systems to reach desired impacts, and develop mechanisms for targeted research to inform program design and implementation. This includes, but is not limited to:
- link MSEs with lead firms that can distribute their products through markets that MSEs cannot access alone;
- enhance MSE uptake of digital tools while supporting ecosystem actors to digitize services for MSEs;
- Support Business Development Support (BDS) providers to understand and reach different MSE segments, link MSEs and BDS providers through sustainable business models, and help MSE owners recognize the value of BDS;
