Job Description
Edge Consulting Engineers is looking to hire an entry-level Structural Engineer.
The ideal candidate would have 0-3 years of experience working on structural engineering projects. He/She will be part of a growing team working on projects throughout the Middle East Region and sporadically supporting our overseas teams.
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Carrying out inspections on site and preparing observation reports for the client
- Assisting the design team in the delivery of the projects
- Assisting and carrying out structural design with a focus on post-tensioned design.
- Design software that will be learned to use RAM Concept, Space Gass
Desired Candidate Profile
- Civil Engineer with graduate/pre-graduate status in Structural Engineering is mandatory.
- A good understanding of key concepts of structural analysis and design.
- Knowledge of international structural building regulations and codes (ACI, Euro code, British Standards)
- Produce work to a high quality and accuracy. Attention to detail.
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills as the candidate will be expected to work with clients and architects directly.
- Ability to work independently as well as being part of a team is essential.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience with above-mentioned design software represents an advantage
