This role will be dedicating it's time to make sure that all new implementations are done in the most secure way the business can tolerate and will work closely with teams across the group to propose design improvements to ensure our security posture remains aligned with the needs of our dynamic organisation. In addition, it will proactively review the company infrastructure to make sure no unauthorised implementations have been done and no unnecessary remnants are left that could jeopardize their security.

The role takes a hands-on approach to identify risks and issues on their current applications, operations, and implementations to provide options to mitigate them.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Interface to internal customers, gather functional requirements and design suitable security solutions aligned with business requirements
  • Make security decisions on the architecture of systems, processes and make risk decisions in coordination with business stakeholders
  • Propose changes to improve the security review processes' effectiveness and efficiency
  • Have a full technical view and understanding of the business architecture and flow
  • Design, implement and measure processes to ensure the Security Architecture team runs at optimal efficiency
  • Manage a team of individuals to ensure that Security Architectural reviews are valuable to the business and are conducted effectively and on a timely fashion
  • Assess the security of new tools being implemented within the business
  • Review and sign-off the implementation of new services in our production environments
  • Regularly review the configuration already in place to ensure it is kept as tight as necessary over time
  • Participate in security assessments and reviews required as part of the day to day activities
  • Execute security reviews as requested for integrations and other requirements for our dynamic organisation
  • Execute projects to implement the group Information Security Incident strategy
  • Liaise with the Security Analysts to keep a full understanding of the security architecture on both sides

Occasional Responsibilities:

  • Support on Security Incidents investigations and management
  • Respond to critical incidents on a 24x7 basis

Knowledge/Expertise/Qualifications:

The role requires a team player with strong technical foundations, hands-on information security skills, attention to detail and good problem solving skills.

Essential

  • At least three years of experience in a similar Information Security position
  • Experience developing security tools and open source projects
  • Attention to detail, good problem solving skills and decision making
  • Autonomous and self-organized
  • Outstanding knowledge of the technical foundations behind networking, operating systems and applications
    • TCP/IP
    • Linux
    • Windows
    • Web technologies
    • Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Basic understanding of Information Security processes and theory
  • Good communication skills and customer-facing experience
  • Experience in the following areas:
    • Security Architecture and Design
    • Risk management
    • Traffic and packet analysis

Desired

  • Security Certification (GIAC, OSCP, etc.) or similar qualification
  • Experience in creation of log correlation and incident detection rules
  • Experience managing security consoles and log correlation solutions
  • Online Gaming security experience
  • Basic knowledge of forensic analysis
  • Experience in security assessments
  • Experience securing Microsoft protocols
  • Regulatory and industry standards work: ISO27001, PCI-DSS, etc.

Other relevant professional qualifications will be considered, although not a requirement, e.g: CISA, CISM, CISSP, GIAC, etc.
