TPF Recruitment are recruiting for a market leading firm of chartered accountants based in West Kent near Swanley/ Sidcup/ Sevenoaks who are looking for a qualified ACA chartered accountant to join them in a really exciting holistic position, where you will work directly with the Partners of the firm. You will service a complete range of smaller clients with turnovers up to 10m. Within the portfolio, there are some very fast growing and ambitious clients across industries such as Engineering, Retail, Food and construction, to name a few.
This is a progressive and really exciting position where you will be exposed to some very interesting work, across accounts, tax, management accounts and ad hoc advisory work. You will work with the Partners of the practice, supporting their client base and gradually building your own client portfolio as you develop relationships in your position.
There is a fantastic opportunity to progress within this position as you develop in your career. The Partners are looking for an ambitious, qualified accountant who is looking to become a Partner within a regional office of a market leading accountancy practice.
A large proportion of the position will be built around the candidates experience and aspirations but to give you and idea of the position, you will be responsible for:
- Managing a client portfolio and being the main point of contact for the client
- Providing holistic advice to clients around their accounts, management accounts and tax affairs
- Working with the Partners on project work
- Preparing the more complicated statutory accounts and reviewing accounts prepared by trainees
- Preparing more complicated corporate tax returns, and overseeing more basic returns
- Overseeing fundamentalbookkeepingand VAT computations from trainees
This is a hands on position, where you will get your hands dirty, but you will have fantastic client exposure and a very clear chance to progress within your career.
Requirements
Suitable applicants for this Accounts Manager vacancy will be ACA qualified with a career background in accountancy practice, working within small / medium / large independent firm background and/or, Top 50/ Mid or Top Tier firm experience.
You will be likely operating at a Senior Accountant / Client Manager level delivering accounts and wider ranging accountancy practice services to a client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited company clients, across a wide spectrum of industries and turnover levels. You will be looking for a career opportunity where you can progress and become a partner in the future.
