TPF Recruitment are supporting an excellent chartered accountancy practice based in Potters Bar, who are looking for an Accounts Manager to join their experienced team across an accounts portfolio.Our client is an independent practice of chartered accountants.
As an Accounts Manager, you will work alongside the Office Manager and be responsible for a mixed client portfolio made up of sole traders, partnerships and Ltd companies. You will have the autonomy to manage your portfolio as you wish and you will also work closely with a team of expert tax advisors who will support you with more complicated advisory work. As an Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for;
- Prepare the accounts report to be sent to the client upon completion of a job.
- Preparing the IRIS accounting records for new clients using opening trial balances, tax computations and other salient information received from previous accountants.
- Preparation of personal tax computations and self-assessment tax returns.
- Preparation of statutory accounts using the IRIS system
- Deal with HMRC enquiries
- Supervising the preparation of Management Accounts
- Tailoring the Management Accounts templates to meet individual client needs
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts on behalf of clients
- Preparation of Tax Credit claims and dealing with HMRC queries on behalf of clients
- Generating new business
Requirements
You will be ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience with at least 5 years experience within practice.
You will have worked as a Team Leader/ Client Manager/ Manager within a practice environment and have hands on experience of accounts, management accounts, tax and VAT.
Benefits
- 50,000 - 60,000, based on experience and qualification
