Accounts Assistant

TPF Recruitment is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a fantastic accountancy practice in Eastbourne. You will be responsible for preparing management accounts, vat returns and payroll services to a mixed and varied client base across Kent and the South-East. You will also have the opportunity to also work in statutory accounts and tax, depending on your experience and aspirations. You will carve a key role here, adding value to clients and building relationships, within a growing team and firm.

This very successful firm of chartered accountants, based in Eastbourne has developed a strong reputation for delivering quality services, along with building strong relationships with its varied client base. The firm offers a very supportive and team focused environment, reflected by a very low staff turnover and long serving staff.

Joining as an Accounts Assistant based from their Eastbourne office, you will carve a key, hands on role, as you develop within this firm and environment. Acting for varied sole traders, partnerships and limited companies of varying sizes and industry sectors, you will deliver management accounts, VAT and payroll services to a range of clients, as well as the opportunity to work in statuary accounts and tax.

• You will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients
  
• Accounts to trial balance, processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software
  
• Completing VAT returns
  
• Cloud accountingusing Xero, QuickBooks, Sage
  
• Opportunityto prepare statutory accounts and tax returns
  

Requirements

• You may be AAT studying, qualified, or qualified by experience.
  
• You will have anything from 3 - 5 years + experience within a client-facing capacity, either in practice, a bureau or self-employed.
  
• Experience of software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Kashflow etc. would be advantageous.
  
  

Benefits

24,000 - 30,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable. A highly competitive benefits.

You may be an AAT qualified technician, or you may have developed your career through experience to date only and be looking to build further on this, in a hands on role. Most importantly, as a key requirement to be considered for this role and firm, you will have developed experience across any of bookkeeping, preparing vat returns, CIS, payroll etc within an accountancy practice firm of any size, as a Bookkeeper. You will ideally have at least three years experience, developed across any of these areas, within an accounting firm / accountancy practice environment, as a key requirement. Part-time, 3 days a week working arrangements.
