Our engineers design and develop CPUs, graphics processors, complex system technologies, and supporting software development tools.

The Systems Architecture and Technology Group is responsible for exploring, developing, and driving the direction of Arms products in the next 3-5 years. We work at the boundary of software and hardware to prepare the future evolutions of the Arm Architecture. As part of this group, you will play an essential role in understanding industry trends and developing the next generation of computing devices for the markets that we participate in, including mobile, virtual and augmented reality, server, networking, high performance computing, IoT/embedded, and autonomous cars. This touches all aspects of computing including artificial intelligence and machine learning, security, energy efficient performance, and decentralization of systems.
As a member of a small and versatile team, you will work closely with experts across all technology groups at Arm, with our partners, and with industry consortiums. You will be responsible for understanding and advancing the next generation of computing systems. Activities include developing prototypes and models of these systems, analyzing their performance, developing tools, and participating in open-source projects.

This role can be based either in Arm's design center in Sophia Antipolis, France, or in Cambridge, UK at Arm's headquarters.

Arms Sophia Antipolis design centre is located in one of the most appealing parts of France, the French Riviera, at the heart of Europes largest and most dynamic technology park. Surrounded by mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, this outstanding design centre has delivered leading products from Arms CortexTM processor portfolio.

The city of Cambridge has a long history of scientific understanding and technological breakthroughs. Arm's recently refurbished and expanded campus is home to a number of CPU development teams, and also GPU, System-IP, Arm Architecture and tools and software engineers.Job requirementsWhat skills and qualifications do I need as a Graduate Systems Architecture Engineer?
Architecture defines the contract between hardware and software. As a successful Graduate Systems Architecture Engineer, you must have a strong interest in both hardware and software, and a good awareness of the interaction between the two. You will have a desire to extend both the depth and breadth of your expertise.Required Skills and Experience:
A postgraduate degree, ideally in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering. Other academic backgrounds will be considered with relevant experience.
A good understanding of computer architecture concepts and trends.
Strong C or C++ programming skills.
You demonstrate enthusiasm, drive, and diligence.
Ability to communicate clearly with both expert and non-expert audiences.Nice to have Skills and Experience:
Ability to understand complex systems and algorithms.
Experience in vector processing and parallel programming.
Assembly language programming, ideally in Arm assembler.
Proficiency in a high-level shell or scripting language such as Python.
Personal projects and/or contributions to open-source projects.
