Frontend Engineer

Blogchain is the decentralized publishing platform launched by Capsule Social, Inc.

Being Blogchain focused on long-form content, its web text editor is a core component of the user interface and of the overall user experience.

The main responsibility for this role is designing and maintaining features of the text editor with the goal to offer writers an unmatched experience.

Our tech stack includes TypeScript, Node.js, Vue, IPFS, OrbitDB, and smart contracts.

Tasks

• The Frontend Engineer will be responsible for text editor component of the Blogchain web app.
• You will design, implement and maintain a reliable, fast, responsive writing experience.
• You will work on other frontend-related tasks including, but not limited to, the development of the commenting system.
• You will be actively involved in every part of the software development cycle, such as designing, coding, reviewing, and test writing.
• As a senior member of the team, you will be working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment, which requires collaboration with designers and engineers to identify opportunities and implement solutions.

Requirements

• JavaScript ES6 & TypeScript
• Node.js
• Experience with building modular JS event listeners
• Vue.js experience (preferred)
• Familiarity with WYSIWYG / markdown text editor
