Job Description

• Understand feature user stories and designs, and plan the development of each feature.
• Develop features using industry best practices and high-quality UI.
• Design, build and maintain high performant, maintainable, and clean Kotlin code
• Ensure the best performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

Job Requirements

• Proven knowledge and experience in software engineering principles and best practices.
• Experience in developing Kotlin-based Android Applications.
• Having live applications on Google Play Store is a big plus.
• Experience in developing applications in JetPack compose is a big plus.
• Track record of developing mobile applications available on GitHub, and publicly shareable.
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Android versions, and development platforms.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design guideline principles, patterns, and best practices
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces including touch gestures.
• Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and libraries available for common tasks
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Familiarity with Firebase push notifications, Crashlytics, and performance monitoring
• Knowledge of benchmarking tools and optimization
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools including git.
