Senior Plumbing & Firefighting Design Engineer

Job Description

• Manage, assign/prioritize workloads, and provide leadership to junior engineers performing plumbing system design.
• Assess and anticipate deliverables, prepare budgets and schedules, and communicate resource requirements to senior management.
• Represent CoolSys Energy Design in project meetings covering technical issues, including meetings with utilities, owners, contractors, construction subcontractors, and inspectors.
• Maintain responsible control over all design activities pertaining to the project, including engineering, quality control, and code compliance.
• Perform site inspections to determine compliance with construction documents and resolve design issues during the construction phase.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and work with outside resources to incorporate special hazard systems.
• Document production of small and large projects.
• Participate in conceptual design for specific projects.
• Create and maintain AutoCAD and Revit drawing packages.
• Provide deliverables and products such as calculations, drawings, and specifications related to plumbing systems.
• Comply with project schedules, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Ensure work is executed accurately and in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Ensure that design calculations and engineering drawings are constructible, comply with code, and meet customer quality requirements and company standards.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical engineering
• Plumbing & FirefightingDesign Engineer 8-10 Years of experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of computer-aided design AUTO CAD & REVIT software and tools related to Plumbing & Firefightingdiscipline.
• Good knowledge of MS Office suite including Word, Excel.
• Previous experience in KSA is a must
• CAP Projects experience is an advantage
• Previous experience in high reputed Consultant Engineering Companies.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Plumbing & Firefightingdesign standards and codes.
• Previous experience in preparing all tender documents (design drawings, shop drawings, BOQ, and technical specifications).
• Previous experience in different type of projects (Hospitals, Hospitably, Commercial, Residential & Mixed Use).
• Very good English both spoken and written.
• Very good computer skills (Windows - Excel - Word- AutoCAD- Outlook – Internet).
• Has high communication skills.
