Turing is looking for a remote Technical Lead on behalf of a US-based e-commerce platform that aims to provide customers with simple, safe, and quality products for families at every life stage. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the team's development efforts with a hands-on programming approach. The company creates the best content and selects goods built to last using high-quality materials that meet stringent safety requirements. Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and delegate tasks and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals
- Work with the product manager on implementing complex business requirements
- Ensure accurate satisfaction of business requirements
- Regularly monitor site performance metrics
- Liaise with team members and management to ensure the timely completion of projects
- Participate in pull request reviews
- Ensure all UX features are WCAG compatible
- Ensure infrastructure is secure and maintained regularly
- Monitor logs for any critical errors and ensure best development practices
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 5+ years of experience as a technical lead or manager of an agile team
- 10+ years of experience building and scaling dynamic, interactive websites using PHP, object-oriented programming, and PHP frameworks
- 5+ years of experience with e-commerce websites
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks
- Experience managing cloud-native applications through AWS
- Knowledge of relational databases and NoSQL is nice to have
- Familiarity with Docker, Elastic Beanstalk, CodePipeline, S3+Cloudfront, Lambdas, SQS, and DynamoDB
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
