Oracle Database Administrator

Job Description

• Ensure stable and reliable Operation for internal operation
• Day-to-day performance monitoring.
• Create physical database structures for small projects based on the physical design for development, test, and production environments.
• Monitor database performance, implement changes, updates, and apply patches.
• Resolves issues via service tickets and perform application support.
• Performs and Monitors daily data back-up and recovery as needed.
• Generates scheduled and ad hoc reports.
• Configure servers for DBMS product installation and database creation.
• Create database users and maintain their privileges and audit actions.
• Provides on-call support for assigned databases 24h including performing investigating and troubleshooting problems.
• Manages conversions of data from legacy/acquired systems as required.
• Monitors and adjusts database parameters and performs database tuning for better performance.
• Assists application support teams with the tuning of SQL statements.
• Build and Manage High Availability Database Solutions.
• Maintains all security needed aspects to keep the Database secured.
• Performance database reorganizations as required to assess performance and ensure maximum uptime of the database.
• Assist with impact analysis of any changes made to database objects.
• Troubleshoot problems regarding databases, applications, and development tools.
• The DBA has ultimate responsibility for the physical database design.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree /College degree in Computer Engineering or related field. Certified Oracle Database Administrator is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in the ORACLE database is required.
• Performance tuning, backup, recovery, and Database Security skills.
• Extensive knowledge of Oracle 11G, Oracle 12C, Oracle RAC, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Have a solid background in SQL tuning and PL/SQL Knowledge.
• Solid Knowledge about Oracle Data Guard and High Availability solutions.
• Highly skilled in troubleshooting performance-related production issues.
• Write database procedures, functions, and triggers
• knowledge in the areas of Data Warehousing, BI, ETL, Data Aggregation, and Data Access is a plus.
• MySQL/MariaDB/Postgres knowledge is a plus.
• Java knowledge is a plus.
• Managing Oracle Databases over Linux.
