Plan, prepare and deliver up to 20 hours of high-quality English Teaching in the first year.
During the second year of the contract after graduation from TSP, teaching hours will be 25 hours per week of high-quality English language teaching that meets the needs of different customer groups taking into account individual learning styles.
Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to help manage students’ performance throughout the course, and actively promote learner autonomy
Contribute to the development, evaluation, and improvement of English language courses, materials and related services, in order to meet students’ needs by actively working as a member of the teaching team
Complete teaching related administrative tasks to specified standards.
Actively engage in professional development and performance management to ensure quality and high standards in teaching and learning and maintain British Council’s position at the forefront of best ELT practices.
In the initial year of the contract, Teachers on the TSP undertake:
Training Programme
Attendance at training sessions and INSETTS as scheduled (up to 2 per week)
2 observations by the training / management team / mentor per term
3 peer observations by teacher on the TSP per term
Meetings
Attendance of pre- and post- observation meetings with member of training / management team / mentor
Attendance at Training Days and Teachers’ Meetings unless scheduled to teach a British Council courses at that time
