Job Description
TASKS & DUTIES:
- Review new product plans and make recommendations for material selection based on design objectives, such as strength, weight, heat resistance, electrical conductivity, and cost.
- Ensuring supply meets the needs of the customer order and/or forecasted demand
- Releasing and scheduling of process orders to the shop floor
- Release of purchase requisitions and/or stock transport orders
- Review and update safety stocks, lead times and other MRP data
- Escalate to “Plant Manager” and “Demand Planner” when a customer order will be impacted by supply
- Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions
- Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine materials requirements, and material priorities
- Resolves problems utilizing acquired knowledge & analytical abilities
- Excellent ERP use
