Mechanical Quantity Surveying Engineer

Job Description

• Prepare and update material status and purchase requests.
• Coordinate with Project Management and other departments to carryout day to day Quantity Surveying services.
• Performs material take offs prior to the purchase requisitions for the projects and reports any irregularities or discrepancies to the control management.
• Evaluate both purchase requests and quotations and ensure quantities and specifications are in line with tender and project specifications.
• Undertake items analysis and breakdown through project phases.
• Prepare and Issue sub-contracts to be in line with project BOQ, specifications and drawings.
• Examine, control and evaluate sub-contractors invoices and ensure the contractual obligations are satisfied.
• Works very close with the project team to ensure that measurements, variations and contractual matters are properly recorded and notified.
• Track changes to the design and project work and issue change requests and variation orders accordingly.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering.
• 3 to 5 years of experience as both site engineer and mechanical QS.
• Technical and practical knowledge of all mechanical disciplines (HVAC, Fire Fighting & Plumbing).
• Capability to accept responsibilities and accomplish project objectives in a timely manner.
• Excellent communication skills and strong English capability.
