Import Specialist

Job Description

• Reviewing the Egyptian law on import and its annexes, and following up on new laws and decisions related to import
• Review the Egyptian customs conditions for the items to be imported and ensure that the supplier is able to fulfill them before approving the order
• Ensure that the Egyptian customs requests are fulfilled for shipments coming from abroad to avoid disrupting or stopping the process of releasing the shipment and paying fines.
• Make sure to choose the best terms for shipping and payment with the external supplier
• Ensure that the items in terms of code, number and techniques in the initial invoice match the order sent to the supplier and compare their prices with the prices agreed upon before adopting the initial invoice.
• Ensure that the supplier data is well and approved by the purchasing manager before sending any payment of the amount due to the supplier
• Entering all the shipment data on the program and matching the external supplier's account after each shipment
• Make sure to get the best shipping prices from shipping companies
• Periodic follow-up with the customs extract of the shipment clearance process until it is transferred to the company’s warehouses
• Receiving the shipments in the company’s warehouses and ensuring the safety, completeness and conformity of the items with the items required from the supplier

Job Requirements

• Previous experience in the field of shipping and import not less than 3 years and not more than 5 years.
• Ability to manage work crises and quickly solve emergency problems
• A critical leadership personality who has the ability to lead and organize the work team
• Preferably those who obtained training courses related to the field of import and shipping operations (logistics)
• A suitable high qualification, preferably a bachelor's degree in commerce or marine sciences, or a qualification related to international transport and logistics
• Fluency in English is a prerequisite
