General Accountant

Job Description

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
• Ensure accounting records are accurate and comply with laws and regulations.
• Track and monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Assist other departments such as HR and Marketing with reviewing of expenses.
• Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
• Assist in preparing the taxation reports in Egypt.
• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements.
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.
  

Job Requirements

• Finance or Accouting major with Bachelor degree or above.
• Candidates from logistics / courier industry are preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month / year-end close process.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
• Must be able to work well in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
