Freelance - Graphic Design Instructor

Job Description

• Teach assigned courses
• Adequately prepare all course materials and lessons. Note preparation time will vary based on instructor experience in teaching that course
• Provide each student with clear course expectations, evaluations, and timelines through carefully written topical outlines and approved standardized syllabus
• Provide Interesting and relevant assignments for students that demonstrate learning outcomes in a real-life setting
• Suitably challenge, engage, serve and communicate with students to encourage their participation and learning while maintaining mutual value and respect
• Complete grade books, final grade sheets, learning assessments, and final exam assessments on a timely basis
• Respond to student questions on a timely basis
• Ensure course and program learning outcomes are delivered as defined by the syllabus.
• Where applicable, ensure safety and sanitation of all labs, equipment, and supplies.
• Post and maintain office and classroom schedules
• Participate in and provide feedback to institutional committees and reporting.
• Assist the Institute in creating various branding materials both digital and in print.

Job Requirements

Skills required:

• Has an excellent understanding of graphic design concepts and methodologies (both the theoretical and technical aspects of the graphic design area).
• Has an artistic spirit, experienced with iterating processes, and can appreciate and teach what a really good work of art means.
• Has excellent communication skills set in order to communicate with the students?
• Has the ability to contribute positively to the instructor's team.
• A very good Experience working with Adobe Photoshop software.
• A very good Experience working with Adobe illustrator.
• Experience in sketching, crafting, and performing hands-on exercises to apply different Design concepts.
• Experience with concept design, branding using Adobe InDesign.

Extra:

• Ability to work with Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Ability to work with Adobe After Effects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree/Professional Diploma in Graphic Design. (Some exceptions could be made in cases where the candidate demonstrates exceptional talent or long years of experience with real time graphic design work.

Must present a portfolio of the works realized by the candidate so far.
