Database Administrator

Job Description

• Administer the implementation of database systems through all IT infrastructure and platforms (Linux).
• Responsible for the configuration, and maintenance of various ORACLE technologies managed by the team (Oracle Real Application Cluster “RAC”, Grid, ASM, Oracle Data Guard and Oracle Golden Gate).
• Responsible for the configuration, and maintenance of various MYSQL technologies managed by the team (MYSQL group replication, MySQL Galera cluster).
• Ability to engage with multiple database RDMS like MYSQL, IBM db2
• Administer Oracle Database Server Backup and Recovery using the RMAN.
• Responsible for the data recovery in case of emergency.
• Monitor and assure the database available, to extremely minimize unplanned downtime.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Communication Engineering, Computer Science, or IT-related degree.
• Minimum 3 years of IT experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in database administration with advanced setup, design, implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Oracle database administration, database maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge in Oracle high availability solution “Real Application Cluster RAC”, Grid and ASM administration.
• Knowledge in Oracle Database Performance tuning experience and SQL tuning.
• Knowledge of Oracle replication solutions “Oracle Data Guard and Oracle Golden Gate”.
• Knowledge in managing Oracle Backup and Recovery using the RMAN with all needed policies.
• Knowledge in MYSQL database administration, database maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Knowledge in MYSQL high availability solution “MYSQL group replication, MySQL Galera, cluster.
• Knowledge in MYSQL Database Performance tuning experience and SQL tuning.
• Good Knowledge and understanding of SQL/PLSQL.
• Good knowledge of UNIX/Linux OS.
