Job Description
Creating new Collection:
- Assist in designing the process from conception through to final styling to manufacturing the final product.
- Helps in Conducting market research to identify new trends, fabrics and styles, and seeking design inspiration.
- keep up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as local trends relating to fabrics, colors and shapes.
- Analyze market needs for Active (Energetic wear), and Social (Social essential and Net-wear).
New Collection Presentation
- Collaborating with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to line, and finding new concepts.
- Ensuring product is in agreement with business strategy.
- Select the collection according to season colors and prints then create the stories.
- Present design ideas to Concerned Parties (Head of Merchandising, CEO, Head of buyer, and Technical Analyst).
- Presenting story, styles, color boards, and any original samples.
- Take the confirmation from CEO, and Head of Merchandising.
Technical Designer collaboration
- Request a sample for each item from the suppliers
- Collaborating with technical designer to ensure development packages are accurate.
- Work with others in the design team, such as supplies, to develop products to meet a brief of final product.
- Work closely with Merchandise, and production teams on an ongoing basis to ensure items suit the customer, market and price.
- Visit trade shows and manufacturers to source, select and buy fabrics, trims, fastenings and embellishments
- Develop a pattern that is cut and sewn into sample garments and supervise the creation of these, including fitting, detailing and adaptations
- Ensure the product sample such as (Fabric, and Stitches)
- Understand design from a technical designer perspective, i.e. follow-up patterns and technical specifications for designs
Suppliers Sourcing and Pricing
- Follow up the confirmation of quantity, and Pricing from the Merchandising.
- Source Suppliers as needed for production, and identify their capacity.
- Collaborate with Head of Merchandising to set-up the prices with suppliers
- Collaborate with technical support through creating PO (Purchasing Order).
- Send all produced items to the quality to confirm.
- Manage the due date of all processes
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Designor equivalent combination of education.
- 2-5 years of related experience in Retail business module is preferred.
- Advanced skills in using Microsoft office; word, excel, and PowerPoint.
- Advanced skills in using Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Ability to interpret, analyze, and write reports.
