rapitag has the vision to make retail safer, faster and more convenient than ever. Founded in 2017, the start-up has uplifted the traditional security tag into a multi-patented, high-tech IoT device enabling retailers for the first time ever to provide safe and fast self-check-out and significant process optimization for high value products.
For this we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer (Working Student/ Intern) (m/f/d) as soon as possible. This internship is located in Munich, Germany.
Tasks
As a Mechanical Engineer (m/f/d) you support your team on various mechanical, electric and design topics
- Participate in design reviews and help solve design, engineering, and manufacturing problems.
- General engineering assistance for new product development and sustaining currently marketed products
- Put your CAD skills to work designing parts and assemblies, creating
engineering drawings and learning about the importance of documentation
control. - Build prototype components and assemblies using our in-house facilities.
- Polish your time management and communication skills to increase your effectiveness as an engineer.
- Take initiative and think creatively
Requirements
- You are enrolled in bachelor or master studies in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Robotics Engineering (or equivalent)
- Highly comfortable with basic machine shop tools (mill, lathe, 3D
printer, hand & power tools), basic electronics prototyping and
debugging, and basic hardware/software interfacing (via
DAQ/Arduino/RPi/etc.) - Experience in CAD software (Solidworks)
- This position operates both in a professional office environment and in
an engineering lab environment. This role routinely uses standard office
equipment as well as hand and power tools. - You have excellent German and English skills
