Backend Engineer

Teraki is a Berlin based tech driven company enabling true mobility. We stand for innovation in the rapidly developing connected car, self-driving and 3D mapping world. Teraki provides the data reduction and data processing solution for Automotive (IoT) applications and enables the launch of new applications by reducing costs. We help our customers on the challenges that are posed by the exploding amounts of data in connected cars for all sensor, video and 3D mapping data.

To expand our tech team, we are looking for a Backend Developer to join our diverse team in Berlin. You will closely work with other Backend developers, DevOps Engineers, Software Engineers and Data Engineers.

Tasks

Your Responsibilities

• Create a web platform, as part of our software product, for machine learning operations, data visualization, monitoring, and configuration
• Build REST APIs and microservices
• Build and maintain tools to automate the provisioning, deployment, and monitoring of our infrastructure
• Contribute to the building of fast, robust, and scalable data-processing pipelines
• Take part in designing database schemas, setup and maintain databases
• Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to continuously implement and improve features, following an agile and test-driven approach
• You and your team have ownership over the entire software development lifecycle from planning to coding, testing and maintenance.

Requirements

Who we are looking for

• Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related.
• Proven experience +4 years as Python Backend Developer.
• Experience building microservices with Frameworks (such Flask, aiohttp, FastAPI, or others) is required.
• You are familiar with Python test suites (in particular: pytest) and you can write unit, integration, and system tests autonomously and appreciate the importance of testing, software validation and clean code.
• You have knowledge in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
• You have experience using Relational databases (especially PostgreSQL) and Non-Relational Databases.
• You have experience running code in the cloud (ideally AWS) and in K8s.
• It s a plus if:
• You have worked with Machine Learning products or you have the theoretical foundations of the discipline.
• You have significant experience in designing, scaling, debugging, and optimizing microservices-based and event-driven systems.
• You have experience writing asynchronous code with python async-await.
