Silent Partner Software is expanding our team and we are now looking for an IT Support Specialist.
The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for the effective delivery of information technology (IT) services and support across the organization. On top of normal day to day hardware and software support, there are a number of projects we need help with.
This is a new position and you need to be comfortable working independently with guidance from the COO. We are hoping to find someone who can be autonomous in finding solutions. This is an office based role with some flexibility to occasionally work from home.
Responsibilities
Deliver IT services, programs, and support throughout the business.
Provide remote and on-site support
Provide internal IT support (server security, software updates, hardware maintenance etc.).
Complete the implementation, deployment and operation of information systems and technology solutions for business needs.
Perform maintenance tasks, manage inventory, and update documentation
Monitor RMM alerts and respond accordingly
Manage Users, licenses and permissions
Review & Test backups & disaster recovery processes
Analyze any potential risks and opportunities throughout the IT infrastructure
Assist the COO with the direction and facilitation of IT strategic and tactical planning.
Research and implement the appropriate technologies to support and improve corporate communications, access to information, and end-user productivity.
Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective acquisition of technology purchases; oversee warranties and service agreements.
Coordinate with all internal resources and third-party vendors to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives
Stay informed on new or emerging trends and technologies that provide clear benefits to the organization, business partners, and/or customers.
Execute end-user training as required
Perform other duties as assigned

DEC, Technical College in computer field or equivalent
2 years relevant IT support experience
Strong knowledge of Google Workspaces and Office 365
Knowledge of Microsoft OS (Windows XP/7/8/10, Windows Server 2008 to 2021)
Knowledge of security, Firewalls, VPN, â¦
Experience with (PaaS, Iaas) AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
Understanding of security standards and best practices
Knowledge of VPN networks, firewalls, encryption, and other aspects of network security technologies.
High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
Familiarity with common web technology HTML/CSS
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills
Autonomous and able to find solutions using all available resources (google search wizard)
