A new liquid density sensor based on our piezoelectric MEMS technology has been developed at SAL. The thesis will focus on proof-of-concept experiments and aims to verify the theoretical model of this liquid density sensor.
Tasks
- The main tasks consist of characterizing the liquid density sensor,
- designing and conducting experiments,
- optimizing the sensing structures.
Requirements
- Top master student with study or research background in MEMS, microfluidics, biomedical engineering, acoustics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, biology, or other related fields.
- Interested in the MEMS sensors, microfluidic systems, flow measurements.
- Knowledge of characterizing MEMS sensors or actuators.
- Experience with design of microfluidic devices would be preferred.
- Good oral and written English skills.

- This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for employees in non-university research (Research CA). For this position, we offer a competitive gross salary of EUR 1.593, paid 14 times a year.
