Were seeking a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Advisor to join Aurecon on a 12month parental leave contract supporting continuity and reinvigoration of our reconciliation journey.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Inclusion youll work closely with our RAP Leadership Team RAP Working Group and senior stakeholders to support embedding reconciliation into Aurecons culture and operations. Youll play a central role in delivering some of the most meaningful work happening at Aurecon.
Here are the key things you will do to bring ideas to life:
- Strengthen governance and accountability of Aurecons RAP through action tracking reporting and administrative support for the RAP Leadership Team and RAP Working Group meetings.
- Lead visible moments of connection and cultural learning within Aurecon including coordinating our recognition of National Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week.
- Provide cultural safety guidance and livedexperience input to reduce barriers and ensure inclusive pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples across Aurecons business.
- Foster meaningful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees ensuring their voices are represented and respected.
- Support us to strengthen procurement and workforce foundations including enhancing engagement and relationships with First Nations suppliers and champion the respectful handling of personal data and Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property (ICIP).
- Provide approved RAP and reconciliation content for bids and proposals supporting Aurecons client credibility and strategic positioning
What were looking for:
- Passion for reconciliation and a strong commitment to elevating First Nations voices through respectful engagement
- Strong relationshipbuilding skills and confidence working with diverse stakeholders.
- Welldeveloped organisation planning and followthrough skills
- Initiative curiosity and problemsolving ability
- Experience working in or alongside reconciliation inclusion First Nations engagement community development or related fields.
- Experience coordinating programs governance processes or supporting people (including recruitment) engagement or change initiatives (highly regarded)
