ENT Senior Registrar

Job Summary:
The Senior Registrar is responsible for providing high-quality clinical care under the supervision of Consultants while managing patients within their area of specialty. The role involves patient assessment diagnosis treatment planning follow-up and participation in emergency and on-call services. The Senior Registrar also supports junior medical staff and contributes to teaching clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.

• Assess patients obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform clinical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage patients within the scope of specialty and level of clinical responsibility.
• Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans in consultation with the Consultant when required.
• Manage routine and complex cases and escalate critical or complicated cases to the Consultant.
• Request review and interpret laboratory radiological and other diagnostic investigations.
• Provide appropriate follow-up and ensure continuity of patient care.
• Participate in emergency duties on-call services and urgent patient management as required.
• Perform procedures relevant to the specialty within their level of training and competency.
• Maintain accurate complete and timely medical records and clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with Consultants specialists nurses and other healthcare professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide guidance and support to residents interns and junior medical staff.
• Participate in clinical rounds departmental meetings case discussions and handovers.
• Contribute to teaching training clinical audits research and quality improvement activities.
• Adhere to hospital policies clinical guidelines patient safety standards infection-control procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain professional knowledge and clinical competencies through continuing medical education.
• Ensure patient confidentiality ethical practice and a high standard of patient-centered care.
