Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversee operations for the Accounting area.
- Determine how the department impacts the company and center strategy, and develop operational tactics and processes at the department level to support the strategies.
- Proactively perform department analysis and collaborate with managers to set department productivity and quality standards.
- Demonstrate proficiency in facilitation and interpersonal communication.
- Consistently demonstrate skills in organization, prioritization, professionalism, and coaching others.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly financial statements and annual audit.
- Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, cash management, and payroll.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, advisors, and service providers.
- Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks and ensure proper internal controls are in place.
- Develop and monitor department budget and financial forecasts.
- Provide guidance and support to accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration required; Master's Degree preferred
- 5+years experience in healthcare accounting required with 2+ years of management experience preferred
- CPS highly preferred
