Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing the entire project and ensuring it adheres to the established timelines and budget.
Coordinating with other project stakeholders including architects contractors and government agencies.

Developing detailed design plans for runways taxiways aprons and other airport infrastructure.
Ensuring compliance with local regulations safety standards and environmental requirements.
Conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments.
Collaborating with architects and other engineers to integrate civil engineering elements into the airports overall design.

Implementing quality control procedures to ensure the construction adheres to design specifications and meets industry standards.
Conducting regular inspections and quality audits.
Addressing and resolving any design or construction issues that may arise.

Developing and managing project budgets.
Tracking project costs and expenditures.
Identifying cost-saving opportunities and recommending changes when necessary.

Managing contracts with construction firms and subcontractors.
Reviewing and negotiating contract terms and conditions.
Ensuring that all parties involved adhere to contract requirements.

Identifying potential risks to the project and developing mitigation plans.
Monitoring and managing project risks throughout the construction process.

Ensuring that all civil engineering aspects of the airport project comply with local state and federal regulations.
Obtaining necessary permits and approvals.

Implementing environmental sustainability practices and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Managing environmental impact assessments and mitigation efforts.
Leading a team of civil engineers and other professionals.

Providing guidance mentoring and technical support to junior engineers and staff.

Maintaining detailed project documentation including drawings reports and correspondence.
Preparing regular progress reports for stakeholders and management.

Regularly communicating with clients government agencies and other stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address concerns.
Promoting a culture of safety on the construction site and ensuring that all safety regulations are followed.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelors or masters degree in civil engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
Proven experience (15 years) in civil engineering with a focus on large infrastructure projects preferably including airports or transportation facilities.
Strong expertise in design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering tools.
