This is a remote position.
As a Senior Security Engineer at Karaz you will play a critical role in shaping and advancing our security posture. You will be responsible for designing implementing and managing the technical controls that protect our applications cloud infrastructure and sensitive user data. This is a hands-on role for a pragmatic and experienced engineer who is passionate about securing modern cloud-native environments. You will work across all teams to champion a culture of security and ensure our platform meets the highest standards of trust and compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Security Engineer in a cloud-native environment (AWS or GCP preferred).
- Deep expertise in both Cloud Security (IAM network security configuration management) and Application Security (SAST DAST OWASP Top 10 vulnerability management).
- Hands-on experience securing containerized environments (Docker Kubernetes).
- Experience implementing security controls in a CI/CD pipeline (DevSecOps).
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g. Python Bash).
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks relevant to technology and healthcare (e.g. ISO 27001 SOC 2 HIPAA Saudi PDPL).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex security topics to non-technical stakeholders.
