Alzayani Investments is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facilities Engineer (Bahraini Candidate) to join our team in Manama Bahrain. This is a fulltime position offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities.
Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Operations:
- Oversee the daytoday operation and maintenance of building systems including HVAC electrical plumbing fire protection and mechanical systems.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and procedures to maximize system uptime and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions and system failures in a timely and efficient manner.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance repairs and installations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations building codes and environmental standards.
Project Management:
- Manage small to mediumscale facilities projects including renovations upgrades and new installations.
- Develop project plans budgets and timelines and track progress to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Prepare project documentation including drawings specifications and reports.
Administrative Tasks:
- Prepare and process requests for quotations (RFQs) from vendors for maintenance services repairs and equipment.
- Evaluate vendor quotes for costeffectiveness and technical compliance.
- Assist in the procurement process for facilityrelated goods and services.
- Maintain organized records of vendor contracts quotations and purchase orders.
- Assist with budget tracking and expense reporting for facility operations and projects.
- Prepare routine administrative reports as required.
Energy Management and Sustainability:
- Identify and implement energysaving initiatives to reduce operational costs and improve environmental sustainability.
- Monitor energy consumption and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on current energy efficiency technologies and best practices.
Safety and Compliance:
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
- Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols related to facility operations.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable local state and federal regulations.
- Respond to and manage facilityrelated emergencies.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities repairs inspections and project documentation.
- Prepare regular reports on facility performance energy consumption and project status.
- Develop and update building system drawings and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Facilities Management or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in facilities engineering or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC electrical plumbing fire protection and mechanical systems.
- Proven experience in managing facilities maintenance programs and projects.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Excellent problemsolving analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills including experience with preparing quotations and managing vendor communication.
- Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software is a plus.
- Professional certifications (e.g. CFM P.E.) are a plus.
