We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Kitchen Technician to join our team Swissotel Corniche Park Towers Doha Doha Qatar. As a Kitchen Technician you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing a wide range of kitchen and refrigeration equipment ensuring smooth operations in our food service facilities.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various kitchen and refrigeration equipment including walkin freezers industrialsized steam cookers refrigerators ice machines ovens dishwashers and water coolers
- Conduct regular inspections cleaning and servicing of kitchen equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
- Utilize the work order management system to efficiently track accept and complete maintenance requests
- Install new kitchen equipment and perform necessary repairs including fixing leaks adjusting wiring controls and replacing defective parts
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff company officials and kitchen personnel to provide effective solutions to equipment issues
- Respond promptly to emergency repair calls including afterhours requests when necessary
- Maintain accurate records of repairs maintenance activities and inventory of spare parts
- Adhere to all safety protocols and health regulations while working in kitchen environments
- Stay updated on the latest kitchen equipment technologies and maintenance techniques
Qualifications :
- Proven experience in commercial kitchen or dining service repair and maintenance
- Indepth knowledge of various types of kitchen and refrigeration equipment
- Proficiency in soldering and brazing techniques using oxygen/propane equipment
- Strong ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and equipment manuals
- Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills
- Handson experience with plumbing repair and installation
- Working knowledge of basic electrical practice theory and safety
- Understanding of commercial refrigeration principles and practices
- Refrigerant transition and recovery certification
- Basic computer skills for using work order management systems
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment
- Strong safetyconscious mindset
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Customerfocused attitude with strong communication skills
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and respond to emergency calls
