We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team in Baghdad Iraq. As the secondincommand in our kitchen you will work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure the highest standards of food quality kitchen efficiency and team performance.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop innovative menus recipes and culinary concepts
- Oversee daily kitchen operations including food preparation quality control and inventory management
- Assign specific duties to kitchen staff and provide clear instructions and guidance
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards hygiene regulations and quality control measures
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness organization and proper functioning of kitchen equipment
- Train mentor and motivate kitchen staff to enhance their skills and promote a positive work environment
- Assist in managing food costs reducing waste and optimizing kitchen efficiency
- Conduct regular taste tests and quality checks on prepared dishes
- Participate in menu planning pricing and cost control initiatives
- Step in for the Executive Chef when necessary assuming full kitchen leadership responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of new recipes and culinary techniques to keep the menu fresh and exciting
- Ensure excellent communication between kitchen and frontofhouse staff to maintain smooth service operations
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar Executive Sous Chef role or equivalent position
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse kitchen team
- Extensive knowledge of various cuisines culinary techniques and food trends
- Proven track record in menu development food presentation and quality control
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong problemsolving abilities and the capacity to work efficiently under pressure
- Solid understanding of food safety standards health regulations and kitchen safety protocols
