Main Duties:

• Provide guidance and support to customers intermediaries and colleagues as necessary
• Evaluate and approve commercial insurance policies ensuring accuracy and adherence to company guidelines
• Assess risks associated with various commercial insurance products considering industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Foster strong relationships with other internal underwriting teams ensuring effective communication and resolving queries to enhance partnerships
• Ensure compliance with insurance regulations company policies and industry standards in all underwriting activities
• Monitor clients performance analyse key metrics and follow up on loss control recommendations
• Maintain a customercentric approach providing excellent service across multiple distribution channels

What skills do you need

• Professional certifications in insurance equivalent to (or higher) than
  Diploma in Insurance (Dip CII) is the preferred requisite
• A Bachelors degree in Insurance Business Finance Risk or a related field will be considered an additional asset
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the local insurance industry of which a minimum exposure of 2 years on commercial lines products
• Proficiency in underwriting software strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of commercial insurance products and policies
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Maltese
• Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to assess complex underwriting situations and make sound decisions
• Able to foster a collaborative and positive team environment encouraging teamwork and knowledge sharing
• Flexibility to adapt to changing market trends customer needs and company policies
• Proven ability to originate business and interact effectively with insurance intermediaries clients and internal stakeholders

Eligibility to work in the EU is a must
