Job Summary:
The Accountant will be responsible for managing and analyzing financial records ensuring the accuracy of financial documentation and providing timely financial reports to assist in decisionmaking. This role requires a detailoriented professional with a strong grasp of accounting principles and experience in financial reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial records including general ledger accounts payable accounts receivable and payroll.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial statements.
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets forecasts and financial planning activities.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance identifying trends and variances.
- Ensure compliance with local state and federal financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and guidance.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate records of all financial transactions.
- Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- 2 years of accounting experience preferably in agriculture or in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks SAP Oracle Famous or etc. and Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
