We have partnered closely with a high growth and successful start up in the Greater Boston area seeking to add a Director of Finance to their team! This position will join the rapidly growing team and sit above the accounting department handling the GL, Month End, Budgeting, and any escalations from the accounting team. Must be able to work in office.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for day to day accounting activities
- Oversee financial transactions, financial statements, reconciliations
- Vendor Management
- GL Management - Journal Entries, Prepaids, Revenue
- Supervision of accounting team
- Assist in preparation of audits
- Ad hoc projects
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of hands on accounting and GL experience
- Experience and strong knowledge of technical systems (Excel, QuickBooks, etc.)
- Strong communication
- Staff management experience preferred
- Ability to handle pressure and time sensitive activities in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work in office
