  • Who we're looking for
    Toyota's Parts Distribution & Accessory Distribution (PDAD) Division is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Business Performance Improvement Analyst.
    The division values team member development and growing capabilities. Therefore, the primary responsibility of this role is to promote the development of PDAD Team Members by analyzing and assessing needs and opportunities, and then supporting the implementation of development initiatives and programs such as training modules, Team Member Engagement Survey trends and tracking the progress.
    Reporting to the Manager of Organizational Excellence, the person in this role will support the Parts Supply Chain Operations department's CY2022 Annual Plan items related to Team Member Development.
    What you'll be doing
    • Understanding, analyzing and addressing the developmental needs of PDAD People Leaders and team members by creating initiatives aimed at increasing capabilities and growth
    • Coordinating development initiatives and workshops with a variety of teams throughout PDAD
    • Creating surveys, measuring and reporting gaps and trends to management while exploring ways to proactively leverage the data and improve the results
    • Need to have Power BI skills and knowledge to develop a dashboard and determine sources, frequency, connecting data, etc.
    • Suggesting and recommending ways to increase the 3 E's (Experience, Exposure, and Education) by leveraging HR Learning & Development, internal resources and external content
    • Nurture the culture of People Development across PDAD through creative ideas that you champion to your management
    • Leverage your skills in Powerpoint to develop presentations, using Excel to perform analysis, using your understanding and capabilities with MS Forms to create and conduct surveys and using Microsoft Teams to collaborate with the manager and fellow team members.
    • Providing support to the OrgEx Manager and team members to supplement as required in developing initiatives and creating materials for management review.
    • Creativity and flexibility are important in this role as many assignments require collaboration with others and involve developing actionable items from conceptual ideas.

    What you bring
    • A Bachelor's degree (or higher) OR equivalent relevant professional experience in a collaborative, multi-cultural work environment (international company)
    • Passion and creativity for how to enable team members by encouraging professional development to grow their capabilities 1+ years
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate survey data, translate metrics, and use data-driven approaches to solve complex problems 2+ years
    • Proven ability to manage projects while motivating others to engage in division-wide efforts (intermediate)
    • Successful track record of implementing development initiatives in a large organization by leveraging other teams, identifying needs, carrying out actions and measuring results 2+ years
    • Proven ability to build strong relationships creating teamwork & cohesion with all levels throughout the organization (with all levels of management) (intermed)
    • Knowledge and experience related to the Toyota Way and Global Content as well as familiarity with matching development opportunities with business needs (intermed)
    • Time management and ability to work collaboratively with all teams while also having the ability to work independently when needed (intermed)
    • Researches other companies/industries and advises management on talent development best practices and trends with a viable way to implement these into Toyota 1+
    • Determine ways to best execute plans while seeking ways to kaizen 1+
    • Strong communication skills with experience presenting ideas to senior management (intermed)
    Added bonus if you have

    • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) majoring in business, behavioral/social science, HR management or another relevant field is preferred
    • Master's degree with emphasis on Learning & Development, instructional technology and training, human resource management, organizational development, or a related field
    • Detailed work experience in activities such as coaching, mentoring, facilitating training discussions with large, diverse groups
    • Projects personally delivered on-time, within budget while exceeding quality standards
    • Demonstrated work experience in collaborative teams where you have been successful in a remote work arrangement or working with various team members in separate locations
    • Ability to think strategically and "big picture" while also being able to delve into the deeper level workings and produce a framework that shows all the details
    • Training experience in which you developed content, led workshops and taught others
    • Experience using strategic thinking with a passion for driving change
    • Completed TBP training
