Clinical Instructor (Bi-lingual)

The clinical instructor is a bilingual training healthcare and technical programs on-site medical facility resource for the Technical Institute Nursing Programs students. Responsible for student assignments in nursing field of study, clinical

evaluations, and course assessment data to meet Technical Institute’s educational requirements, the rules and regulations of its accrediting bodies, and the most current industry standards.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Provide Orientation for new students at the healthcare facility, including the facility’s job description for Nursing staff, the Policy and Procedure Manual, location of educational resources, safety precautions, emergency protocols and blood-borne pathogens protection.

• Assign students to a variety of medical departments/procedures to gain experience in the role of the Certified Nursing Assistants, Medical Assistants, Pheobotomist, and Home Health Aides.

• Promote a positive learning environment for bilingual students with emphasis on patient/student safety and compliance that meets national accrediting agency standards.

• Exhibit professional behavior and communication that serves as a positive role model for students.

• Complete weekly clinical evaluations with systematic observations, and timely objective/subjective feedback to the student according to state standards.

• Meet regularly with Technical Institute Administrators of Programs, to maintain productive two-way communication between the Program and the hospital/medical facility that we partner with for externships.

• Provide feedback to the administrator of Programs about current department/hospital policies or changes in practice in the nursing field, and recommend appropriate program changes.

• Maintain current state-of-the-art knowledge and skills through continuing education and professional development opportunities.

• Perform supervisory and other duties as assigned by the Administrator or other designee.

Requirements

Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN): Associate’s Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

Must speak Spanish and English fluently, bi-lingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply

Advanced computer literacy skills

Current CPR card

Current on state trainings

Current TB Shot

Covid-19 Vaccinated

Able to work hybrid setting, 20-30 hours a week. Monday-Friday

4 hours in the morning in person, 2-hour break and 4 hours at night possibly remotely

Pay range is between $22-$25/hr

There is a $1,000 sign-on bonus:

broken down into 3 payments

$250 after 1st month, $250 after month 2, and $500 after 90 days

2 PT person or 1 FT person,about 20 hrs a week for PT (Part-time)

Experience in teaching or desire to teach is preferred
