IOT Solution Engineer

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Develop scalable services and dashboards using relayr's cloud, components, and modules
• Identify the best fit to customer on-site needs, bridging the physical and digital world with a product-oriented approach
• Manage the integration of field elements, towards building reusable use-cases and solutions, to address current and future customer’s needs
• Build and manage the sensor data acquisition and delivery to cloud
• Develop the IOT platform with all required related pillars ( electricity network, domestic water network, irrigation network,…etc)

Job Requirements

• Graduate Degree in Computer science , Communication Dept , or equivalent experience
• At least 7 years of experience in related projects
• Proven experience working with field elements (sensors, actuators, PLCs)
• Proven electronic skills (oscilloscope, multimeter, electronic testing, schematic reading)
• Experience with script programming (bash) and programming languages such as C/C++ and python
• Basic networking and Linux skills
• Experience with IoT hardware platforms is a plus
• Knowledge and experience with IoT protocols and standards (MQTT, REST, 6LoWPAN, LoRa, BLE) is a plus
• Knowledge and experience with industrial technologies and protocols (Modbus, Profinet, sensors, actuators, PLCs) is a plus
• Experience in Embedded Systems firmware/software development.
• Good knowledge of IoT sensors/gateways, electronic product design, hardware testing and troubleshooting.
• Experience with IoT standards and communication protocols like MQTT, HTTPs, CoAP etc.
• Familiarity and experience with industrial monitoring and control systems like SCADA, PLC, DCS,etc.
• Familiarity and experience with industrial protocols such as Modbus, CANbus, Profibus, OPC UA,etc.
• Experience with communications channels such as WiFi, Zigbee, BLE, NB-IoT, Sigfox, LoRaWAN,etc.
• Familiar with wiring & interfacing protocols such as RS232, RS485, Ethernet, etc.
• Experience in development boards e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Edison, NodeMCU etc.
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
• Ability to identify trends and exercise mature judgment about the role of information services.
• Experience in major software and hardware systems procurement and implementation.
• Knowledge of current IT applications, methods, and standards.
• Knowledge of state-of-the-art computer hardware and software.
• Knowledge of state-of-the-art data, voice and video communication network systems.
• Ability to manage and plan for large-scale technology change in a dynamic environment.
