Farm Manager

Job Description

• Participates in determining the company's annual strategic objectives and makes sure it's implemented.
• Preparing the agriculture plan by identifying the necessary equipment, employment, transportation and agricultural inputs. Accordingly, monitors achievements while ensuring that costs are managed effectively.
• Assess productivity periodically and develop control, prevention, irrigation and fertilization programs to meet the needs of various agricultural programs.
• Leads research and development in crops and agriculture and proposes innovative ways to raise efficiency and productivity, and scientific solutions to address agricultural problems.
• Participates in the development of the Operational Policy and Procedures Guide and constantly monitors its implementation and makes the necessary proposals and recommendations for any improvements in the procedures.
• Makes sure that the quality management system is applied, and the operations manual is implemented so that the product reaches customers with the required specifications. Furthermore, ensures the safety of documentation of operations such as the use of diesel, equipment and irrigation dates.
• Recommends the training needs of his team and follows up on the implementation of recruitment, training and development plans for all of them.
• Prepare the annual budget and Business plan.
• Manage compost, seeds and supportive tools and materials.
• Collect data and manage information to build an integrated and comprehensive database.
• Projects management (for old and new projects)
• Coordinate any new research or enhancements with other parties such as R&D, quality, finance and production.
• Working on the efficiency continuous improvement.
• Follow the system enhancement process to make sure of the implementation of the business plan.
• Knowledge of using the new technology and the global standard of accepting productions.
• High awareness of the full cycle of an agricultural operation; starting from planning, preparing, implementing, follow up and take corrective actions until harvesting including watering, reproduction, HSE and pest control.
• Complete knowledge of agriculture supplies storage standards.
• Complete all planned objectives starting from the field preparation, fertilization till harvesting on time and according to schedules.
• Maintain excellent communication with all stakeholders.
• Managing the required maintenance according to the preset schedule (on the preventive and corrective levels)
• Full awareness of boreholes, roads network, irrigation systems & stations, storage.
• Preparing periodical reports to the direct and top management.
• Manage, coach, and mentor the team to ensure their efficiency and high performance.
