Data Protection Specialist

Job Description

• Develop and maintain a framework of Data Classification (DC), accountability and protection of information assets
• Develop and maintain Data Leakage Protection (DLP) policies and procedures
• Ensure that all information owned, collected or controlled by or on behalf of the company is processed and stored in accordance with the applicable laws and other global regulatory requirements
• Serve as the point of contact to develop and drive any activities related to privacy and information security
• Carry out security evaluations for projects concerning personal data and privacy
• Collaborate with project teams to challenge, secure, and support their data usage
• Work with security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities.
• Stay current on IT security trends and news.
• Develop company-wide best practices for IT security.
• Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
• Stay up to date on information technology trends and security standards.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field.
• 10+ year Experience in information security or related field.
• Experience in Data Loss Prevention Technologies and processes
• Experience working as Data Protection Officer
• 6+ year experience in Data Protection and Data Privacy.
• Cyber Security Certifications such as CIPT, CIPP, CIPM
