Cost & Planning Engineer

About the Job

• Maintains clear and concise records of the development and sales status of each project and maps out the company’s obligations as a guideline for project planning.
• Determines project objectives based on development requirements and contributes to the creation of a comprehensive project plan that is fully coordinated with the sales obligations of the company.
• Applies various project progress methods to ensure the project schedule is on track to meet deadlines and deliveries.
• Prepares and administers the project budgets during pre-concept, concept, design, and execution phases including Rough Order of Magnitude, Order of Magnitude, Provisional and detailed budgets, finally creating bills of quantities and performing all associated quantity surveying.
• Administers procurement including preparing tender documents, contracts and other related administrative procedures and documents as required.
• Conducts cost analysis, cost control and monitoring of budget to ensure that the project is completed within its projected budget.
• Monitors cash flow & applies the necessary modifications if any.
• Maintains direct & ongoing relationship with Consultants & Contractors.
• Administers new contract assignments with consultants & contractors.
• Continuous monitoring of progress against units’ deliveries.
• Coordinates and liaises with the project management team to overcome roadblocks or delays through various methods such as using industry related technical knowledge, innovating short cuts or alternative ways with the available resources.
• Performs project costing related reporting; such as cost control & cash flow reports (weekly & monthly reports)
• Reviews, follows up and approves POs on JD Edwards system.
• Performs any other responsibilities assigned by the direct manager.
