Cost Estimation Engineer

Job Description

• Developing estimates and bids for construction projects.
• Analyse drawings and specifications.
• Understand contractual terms and conditions.
• Assemble accurate and well-organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner for Stipulated Price, Design-Build and Construction/Project Management formatted projects.
• Provide clear detailed quantity take offs. - Organize sub-contractor quotations, negotiate to ensure quotes meet contract documents and issue proper documented purchase orders.
• Complete Budgeting and Scheduling for project.
• Monitor progress, requisition change orders and identify any potential risks.
• Maintain relationships with sub-contractors and clients.
• Ensure site personnel are provided with proper documentation related to project.
• Provide and maintain unit pricing and database for material and labor costing.
• Formulate cost break down from estimates and for project progress.
• Integrate with BIM team to provide real-time cost 3D visualization.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor degree in architectural engineering or construction management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working as construction estimator.
• Experience with estimating software and spreadsheet design.
• Ability to use BIM/CAD software.
• In-depthknowledge of project management
• Deep understanding of research methodology, data analysis and estimation metrics

Preferred Requirements

• Certified Professional Estimator (CPE)
• Experience using iTWO costX and/or VICO office.
