About the Role
Our client in Bahrain is seeking an experienced Credit & Risk Manager / Head of Risk to lead enterprise-wide risk and credit functions ensuring strong portfolio quality regulatory compliance and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain risk management frameworks policies and risk appetite.
- Oversee credit underwriting approval processes and lending controls.
- Approve credit proposals within delegated authority.
- Monitor portfolio performance (arrears delinquency NPLs recoveries).
- Conduct stress testing and portfolio risk analysis.
- Ensure compliance with CBB regulations and reporting requirements.
- Manage risk reporting audits and governance processes.
- Provide risk input on new products and strategic initiatives.
Key Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Finance Banking Accounting or related field (MBA preferred).
- 710 years experience in credit/risk management within financial institutions.
- Strong knowledge of CBB regulations (Volume 5 preferred).
- Professional certifications (FRM CFA ACCA CPA) are an advantage.
