Sealy Mattress Middle East a well-established leader in the premium bedding industry known for its quality mattresses and commitment to excellence is seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to join our team. With operations that have been thriving since 1990 we pride ourselves on delivering superior sleep solutions to our customers across the MENA region. Our advanced manufacturing facility in Jeddah operational since 1999 reflects our commitment to quality and innovation. The Safety Officer will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of all employees within the workplace promoting a safe working environment and adhering to local and international safety regulations. This is an essential position focused on minimizing risks and ensuring compliance with safety standards within our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop implement and monitor safety policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on safety practices and emergency procedures.
- Investigate accidents and incidents preparing detailed reports and ensuring that necessary actions are taken.
- Collaborate with management to ensure a continuous improvement approach to workplace safety.
- Maintain safety records and prepare compliance reports for management review.
- Encourage a culture of safety awareness and responsibility among all employees.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety Environmental Health or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a safety officer in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and training skills to effectively engage with staff.
- Ability to analyze data and conduct risk assessments to ensure compliance.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
- 30 to 45 years old.
- Male.
