Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Technology and Engineering to lead our technology strategy drive innovation and manage a growing engineering team of 20 professionals. This is a strategic leadership role that requires a balance of deep technical expertise in SaaS particularly in accounting and ERP systems and strong people management skills. The ideal candidate will have 14 years of experience in software engineering architecture and technology leadership within highgrowth SaaS companies.
What you will do in your role
Technology Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute mazeeds technology vision strategy and roadmap in alignment with business goals.
- Ensure the scalability reliability and security of our SaaS platform to support business expansion.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and trends in SaaS financial management accounting and ERP systems.
- Make strategic decisions on technology investments and drive continuous improvement in our tech stack and infrastructure.
Technical Excellence & Innovation
- Lead architectural decisions ensuring high performance maintainability and security.
- Oversee the development and integration of Tech changes features AI automation and analytics to enhance product capabilities.
- Ensure best practices in DevOps cloud infrastructure (AWS) and security compliance.
- Drive adoption of modern development frameworks microservices architecture and scalable cloud solutions.
People & Team Management
- Build mentor and lead a highperforming engineering team of 20 engineers product managers and tech leads.
- Foster a culture of innovation collaboration and accountability.
- Develop career growth plans and create a supportive environment for talent retention.
- Enhance Agile and DevOps practices to improve development efficiency and delivery timelines.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with the CEO product and business teams to align technology with business needs and road maps
- Solving complex problems related to tech culture and scalability
- Technoloy stack selection and research
- Reporting and analysis for tech related objectives
- Manage delivery and maintain high productivity
- Support sales marketing OPS and customer success teams by providing technical insights and solutions.
- Partner with external vendors partners and investors on technologyrelated initiatives.
- Building high and leading performing tech teams.
Qualifications :
What you will bring to the role
- 14 years of experience in software engineering architecture and technology leadership.
- Proven track record in SaaS with a strong preference for experience in accounting ERP or fintech solutions.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP) microservices and APIdriven architectures.
- Strong knowledge of modern web development frameworks (e.g. PHP React AWS.
- Experience leading crossfunctional teams in Agile and DevOps environments.
- Solid understanding of data security compliance (ISO GDPR) and scalability best practices.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance technical and strategic priorities.
